Meet the Board of Directors who guide the work of the Friends of Killarney Park.
Passionate about preserving and protecting the park, the Board of Directors work to support
the educational, environmental and recreational goals of Killarney Provincial Park.
Organized into five sub-committees; Governance, Finance, Communications, Development, and Projects and Programs,
the Board of Directors leverage their diverse backgrounds to support the Park’s goal to
preserve the ecological integrity and natural beauty for generations to come.

Dan Losier, President
Dan has been exploring Killarney for many years, sharing his love of its wild beauty by introducing countless friends to camping within the La Cloche Mountains. Drawn to the park’s rugged charm and pristine lakes, Dan considers this corner of Ontario one of the province’s true treasures. He joined the Board in the spring of 2025 to support ongoing conservation efforts and to help ensure that Killarney remains a safe, welcoming, and accessible destination for generations to come.

Jena Ethier, Executive Director
Jena has been coming to Killarney since 2011, when a friend invited her to join a family camping trip. Swimming in George Lake, stargazing, and hiking teh Cranberry Bog Trail sparker her love for the KPP! After four years of working in the Outpost, Jena became the Executive Director of FOKP in Fall 2023. She is passionate about her work and is excited to continue offering/improving programs for Visitors in KPP!

Jimmy Hou, Governance Director
Jimmy has been a member of the Board for over 3 years and appreciates that Killarney is home to such a beautiful and long trail like the La Cloche Silhouette! He has joined the FOKP Board to give back to the amazing parks across Ontario that hold some of his dearest memories. Killarney is so special to him, and he wants it to be special to many others too!

Valerie hopes to encourage greater accessibility in the Park so that everyone can enjoy what Killarney has to offer!

Joanne has been visiting Killarney Park since the 80s and has been charmed by the Park's beauty. She is passionate about sharing with the others how lovely it is to come to Killarney to unwind and unplug!

Nancy Campbell, Communications Director
Nancy has been coming to the Park since the 1990's and appreciates the park's beauty throughout the four seasons. Nancy is looking forward to coming to the Park later this winter to support the Friends annual Winter Weekend event! FOKP does a fabulous job of balancing programs for every age and stage of visitor, and are passionate about preserving Killarney as a wilderness class Park!
