FOKP 40th Anniversary
Friends of Killarney Park officially became a Charity on April 1, 1986! Since its establishment, FOKP has rigorously pursued its Mission of supporting the environmental, educational, and recreational goals of KPP. Over the years, the relationship between FOKP and KPP, and the ways we work together has shifted and changed, but through it all one thing has remained the same: FOKP could not do what we do without the support of Volunteers, Directors, Staff, Members, Park Visitors, Researchers, Ontario Parks Staff, Artists, and more.
We hope that we can honour everyone who has faithfully contributed to FOKP over the last 40 years, in any and all capacities. Every contribution is important, no matter the size! To participate in this celebration with us, we have a few different announcements/initiatives outlined below!

The "40 for 40" Campaign
For the 40th Anniversary of FOKP, throughout the month of April we are running a special "40 for 40 Campaign": $40 for 40 Years of Caring Together! All donors who participate in this campaign will receive a thank you letter from FOKP containing two new 40th Anniversary Stickers! To participate, in this campaign you just need to do two things:
1. Make a minimum of $40 donation online and select the "40 for 40" Fund
2. Fill in the following google form so that we can mail you your stickers:

This year KPP has proposed 6 new projects which we are delighted to support through fundraising efforts like this 40 for 40 Campaign. These projects can be found here.
This is also a great opportunity to make a donation as a gift or in-honour of someone to celebrate their commitment to FOKP for this exciting milestone! The 40 for 40 Form allows you to let us know if your donation is a gift/in-honour of another, and if so, we will gladly send the thank you and gift to them on your behalf!

Collaborative FOKP Memory Book
We are hoping to commemorate this milestone with a Collaborative Memory Book, collecting memories, stories, favourite projects and accomplishments, FOKP initiatives you've appreciated, programs you loved, etc... It is our hope to accept submissions from April 1st to September 1, 2026, and then by the Fall we will release a Memory Book Celebrating 40 Years of Caring Together!

40th Anniversary Post Series
FOKP is happy to announce a new Post Series for the month of April that will outline our Establishment and Major Accomplishments over the last 40 years, with an emphasis on why we do what we do and a HUGE thank you to everyone who has made the mission of FOKP come to life through this journey! Maybe it'll also help stir up some memories for the Memory Book!
