About the artist:
"Diana Nadia is an artist based in Toronto. Her wood-grain paintings explore pareidolia: the human tendency to perceive images and meaning in ambiguity. Beginning with an abstract, gestural underpainting, each piece evolves as faces, figures, and other forms emerge through her response to the natural patterns embedded in the wood."
